Change takes place in all manner of ways.
There is a trend to not take responsibility for ourselves or our actions.
This can take the form of going to the Doctor and handing over the responsibility for yourself to someone else. Not even checking the medication you are given is the right one for you, thinking they must be right.
Not taking care of yourself knowing there will be a medication or increasing the one you already have that will put you right again. Going with what we are told to the point of surgery having the offending part of our body removed. Not changing your lifestyle in any way to avoid taking responsibility for yourself
Laughing and taunting others who we feel are different to the point of bullying them, this must be their fault.
Not helping those in need when you have more than enough for yourself using this is their own problem not mine as an excuse
If we investigate this further it leads us to fear. It can be an assortment of fears such as
- Fear of being wrong
- Fear of being laughed at
- Fear of not fitting in
- Fear of being bullied
- Fear of not looking into our dis-ease
- Fear of the unknown
This leads to the blame culture, as you give away the responsibility for yourself you blame others when things go wrong.
It is so much easier to blame someone else rather than take responsibility for yourself.
If you feel it is time for you to take responsibility a good starting point is to think about what is happening to you and around you.
- Am I taking good care of myself?
- What am I putting in my body?
- Are the people around me influencing me in a negative way?
- Can I be more generous with my time and money?
- What changes can I make to take responsibility for myself?
- How can I begin to change the fears I have?
Small steps take you a long way.
I am here if you want to clear the blocks that are holding you back from making the changes to taking responsibility for yourself.
I wish you peace and happiness on your journey
